It’s hard to know exactly how many pages you will get from your cartridge since the yield depends on how much toner is on each page. Each cartridge has a stated yield based on just 5% of the page covered in toner. If 10% of the page is covered, the yield is cut in half and the cost doubles. With today’s documents containing pictures, logos and lines, average coverage is conservatively estimated at 20% of the page. This means that the true cost per page could be over four times higher than the cost based on the stated yield.
